Men’s rowing

The Men’s Squad at Tyne United is a growing mixture of those new to the sport through our Learn to Row courses and those with experience in the sport.

Members of the squad have included those who have been competitive at local level as well as those with experience of racing at BUCS, EUSA and Henley Royal Regatta.

This past year has seen the Men’s Squad at Tyne United take a huge leap forward – our new partnership with Northumbria University means that our Senior Men and their Senior Men now come together and with our new professional coaching set-up the squad can only get stronger.

For those who may be new to the region, Tyne United offers an excellent opportunity to join and get stuck in with a brand new club and an enthusiastic squad looking to grow and make it’s mark.

The club facilities are the newest and best in the North East with a new club house, a full fleet of modern boats (including Empachers and Filippis), as well as our recently constructed fitness building which houses 16 Concept2 Model D ergos, an Olympic weights suite and our new indoor rowing tank.

For those with aspirations of High Performance Rowing, we work in partnership with Durham University Boat Club, the GB Rowing High Performance Centre for the North East.

We also offer highly competitive membership rates and racking fees for small boats.
