Want to try rowing?

If you’ve never rowed before but are interested in learning, then Tyne United is open to those wishing to learn to row. We run Learn to Row courses throughout the year on specific weekday evenings, which along with our daytime rowing, provides a flexible environment for anyone who wishes to take part. For more information on learning to row, visit our Learn to Row and Daytime Rowing pages.

We also offer a 28-day trial membership for those potential members who are already proficient rowers but would like to trial our facilities before joining as a full member. Please contact the membership secretary ( for further information.

At Tyne United, one of our key aims is to make rowing accessible and affordable for all, while providing a high quality of rowing. As you will see from our membership rates below, our membership fees are competitively low for what you get (brand new clubhouse, new fleet of boats and a high standard of indoor equipment including an indoor rowing tank).

The Club does not wish to see anyone unable to take up club membership because of an inability to pay. Prospective members and current members experiencing changed financial circumstances are encouraged to discuss potential payment options with the Club Treasurer. If you have any questions regarding payment, please contact
